Dear Scholarships Applicants:
We are delighted to offer the possibility to defray the registration costs for this conference to all interested. The “Expanding Informal Science Education for Latinos” Conference will take place in Albuquerque from September 4 to the 7th. These scholarships are funded through a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Applications must be received electronically ONLY on or before November 20th, 2008.
Scholarship applicants will be notified of awards no later than December 5th. Please read the application form below carefully, pay special attention to completing all the information on all boxes, and give comprehensive answers to the questions on part C. Awards are made on the basis of demonstrated need and merit. It is a competitive process; neatness, clarity, and substantial responses count.

NOTE: The scholarship review committee looks for applications that demonstrate thoughtful commitment to their project and an interest in incorporating or enhancing the work being done for the Latino community.
This conference will request active participation with inquiries, ideas that would evolve in the brainstorming of concrete ways to create active partnerships and realistic projects. Focusing on what you could bring to the conference will be taken seriously at the selection of awardees.
