In addition to our issue-specific projects and campaigns, SRF offers several services that can assist organizations in reaching the Hispanic community.
Festivals and informal community events, in particular those that celebrate Hispanic culture, can be an excellent opportunity to engage Hispanics in educational activities and connect them to important resources. SRF regularly participates in community festivals throughout the country and successfully reaches Hispanic communities on a variety of topics and causes.
SRF's Línea de Ayuda (1-800-473-3003) supports campaigns of all scope by connecting the Hispanic community to the local resources and information they need.
Through SRF's experienced staff, national coalitions, and outreach capacity, SRF regularly designs and implements educational workshops for Latino youth and communities, in particular for science and health education.
SRF conducts focus groups to evaluate programs addressing the Hispanic population, and has been requested to evaluate materials from organzations such as Fertile Hope, Learning Exploration Incorporated, and the Hispanic Communications Network (in addition to the evaluations of SRF projects). Depending upon the media and the product to be evaluated, SRF designs a first round of focus group evaluations to pilot the product i.e. radio programs, written material, video vignettes, etc. For impact evaluation, a second round of focus group is conducted, using similar methodology to asses a selection of the material broadcast or used. |
