| Out
of the 42 million Hispanics in the United States , over 24
million speak Spanish at home, regardless of their English
language proficiency. This is critical as it demonstrates
that Spanish is the medium for how Hispanic families
and communities communicate, so messages that do not fit this
mold will struggle to survive their communication patterns.
The
success of Hispanics communities is dependent on their understanding
and access of social, educational, and health resources. However,
their immense diversity requires innovative, tailored, and
culturally-distinct educational approaches.
